The Genuine Malbec

Vintage Notes
2008

The 2008 vintage was an unusual and challenging one. Yield was particularly low due to adverse weather conditions, with cold and rainy days. Luckily, these conditions settled and autumn was benign and cool, granting a slow and extended ripeness which allowed top-notch wines.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Intense ripe blackberry and blackcurrant notes with fresh touches of delicate violets and lavender flowers - typical Malbec notes blended in an untypical way. Balanced and fluid, its fresh acidity helps silky, ripe tannins to stand out. Full-bodied with an excellent finish.
Awards
Decanter Magazine (World wine awards) - Gold Medal : “Juicy with good depth and concentration of dark fruit flavours, plums, dried figs. Complex with a lifted palate and smoky notes, coffee, chocolate and curry spice.”
