This powerfully elegant argentinean Malbec originates from the highest part of our Los Cerezos high-altitude vineyard, in Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo. Planted in 1929 in the rocky, loamy soil of single plot No.10’s westernmost part, our deep-rooted, low-yielding vines bring forth and concentrated grapes with incredible balance. Los Cerezos means ‘cherry trees’, in Spanish. And, shaped by its mountain terrain, our single-Parcel Terrazas de los Andes Mendoza red wine from Los Cerezos, combines dark cherry intensity with a rich and velvety mouthfeel.
This Argentina red wine is appealing and intense on the nose, it reveals the typical aromatic character of the Malbec from Las Compuertas, offering aromas of black fruit of blueberry, plum and cherry. On the mouth, it is powerful and concentrated, this Malbec stands out for its round tannins, good acidity and long and gentle finish.
Born where the earth meets the sky, Terrazas de los Andes wines magically capture the elegance and freshness of the Andes in Argentina. Cultivated in unique terroirs, in harmony with the mountain life we guard, our high-altitude Argentinian wines are layered, yet surprisingly elegant and bright. Come and explore the wines of our breathtaking mountain world.
