Parcel Los Castaños - Malbec 2019

Our rich and elegant single-Parcel Terrazas de los Andes Malbec perfectly expresses the natural power and finesse for which the Paraje Altamira wine region of the Uco Valley is so renowned. Planted in 1999, its in transition to organic vines grow in the cool and unusually gravelly, limestone soil of our Castaños high-altitude vineyard. Rockiest, chalkiest of all, the western part of single plot No. 2 inspires this Argentina Malbec red wine’s aromatic balance of red fruit and mountain freshness.

Tasting Notes

This exclusive Argentina Malbec has blue with purple tones color. On the nose, it reveals aromas of plums, violets, dry herbs and spices that provide great complexity and intensity to this true exponent of Paraje Altamira. Great concentration that is perceived in a gentle and balanced way in the entire mouth. It showcases tannins that contribute to a creamy and unctuous mouthfeel, typical of this region of rocky and calcareous soils.
